- Clean, mask, prep, & base your repair area. Making sure to sand the area you plan to "Blend" the clearcoat is sanded with 3000 grit & masked loosely during the base step
- Unmask the blend area and move the loose mask farther down the panel (to avoid clearcoat overspray)
- Spray your clear over the repair for 1-2 coats per normal application. Then the last clear coat, spray into the 3000 grit area lightly to blend into the panel
- IMMEDIATELY after spraying the last clear coat, take the Car-Rep spot blender and spray it over the area you blended the clearcoat to "burn" it into the old existing clear. Do not spray too heavily or it will make the clearcoat run. Essentially you are adding solvent to the clear to chemically bond to the old clearcoat under it.
- Allow to fully dry
- if needed, wet sand the blend area lightly with 2000/3000 and compound/polish
