Tamco MonoCoat 1K Coating

A moisture-curing coating is a type of coating that cures due to the presence of moisture in the atmosphere. This coating forms a protective coating film by reacting chemically with the moisture in the air. This coating is great for being brushed on to hard to reach areas like chassis or undersides of vehicles. It is designed to paint directly over sound rusted metal surfaces to stop rust permanently. Perfect for the marine environment. Impervious to chemicals, salt, and other corrosive contaminants and is able to be painted over rust.
This is nothing like POR15, this Mono cure technology supersedes any kind of POR15 products on the market.

Monocoat it designed to be top coated with almost any paint. In some areas you *could leave it as a Topcoat, but chalking can occur in direct sunlight.

Monocoat can be applied over bare metal or surface rusted areas. Brush or spray applied. It is ideal for any type of rusted metal surface and can handle temperatures up to 350 degrees.

Can be used outdoors at temperatures as low as 40 degrees. Assuring excellent adhesion and impact resistance along with industry leading corrosion protection and encapsulating properties. 50 degrees F is ideal

Monocoat

With proper preparation, mono coat is powder coat like durability! I owned a powder coat business for several years. Sand blasting undercarriage parts, I was really surprised at the abuse you could subject metal to once it cured. Definitely would recommend it to anybody! Top coat it to keep it from chalking out.

We're glad you like the Monocoat! Thank you for supporting our small business!

I bought a can. Planned a few parts and one inside fender engine well. Ended up doing both inner fenders, right front quarter if frame, control arms and under the hood as well as half the fire wall. Still had 1/4 of a can left. Can run pretty easy. Video says put it on thick. I did and got some runs. But as it's a bottom coat I'm not worried about them much.

Tamco MonoCoat 1K Coating

Stuff went on glossy, but drys to a "satin sheen" I would say. Ended up looking perfect for an undercarriage. This stuff sticks better then any other product I've tried. I brushed on which came out great with only minor brush strokes in some places. After drying for 3 days I performed other repairs which had me spraying brake clean, and other caustic stuff on frame and scrubbing hard with a rag and this stuff didnt budge or look any different. This will be my go to product from here on out. Note: garage was 90 degrees and within 15 minutes it was practically dry or had consistancy of almost cured 2 part epoxy glue. Thanks for this product.

I actually brushed it on in the trunk area of my 68 Camaro. Looks great ...super easy to apply.... can't wait to see it in the morning when it's totally dry.
