Mystic Chrome Alpha Custom Color Aerosol Spray Can
is our take on the VERY popular OEM color Ford " Mystichrome " OEM limited edition paint from the 1996 Mustang Cobra (paint code  LF).

*This is not meant to match the more blue oversion of mystic chrome (code g6) on the 2000s model mustang.* 

After pursuing this color for years, we are finally happy with that we have to offer, and we think you will be too! This isn't a 100% match, but it is overy close and a FRACTION of the price of the original. This product wasn't only to replicate and lower the price, but to also offer this awesome color to the DIY paint market.

Best over a Black Basecoat ( if you need surface filling , Use CarRep Black Epoxy Sealer or sanded high build primer spray cans!)

This color is available in Automotive Paint & Drop In Pigment for Liquid Wrap as well.

This is a 1k basecoat and needs to be sprayed over the recommended Epoxy Sealer & topped with one of the Car-Rep 2k Clearcoats or any other 2k clearcoat.

* These are Basecoat Midcoats ( 1k Midcoats ) Where the basecoat REALLY matters. We highly recommend sticking the basecoats we suggest above for best results. *

-Qualifying international orders are shipped via UPS or DHL. Most countries there are 3 day options.

If you are not spraying it over our epoxy sealer you will need to sand with either 600 grit or a gray scuff pad.
Yes but it will require more prep - On chrome you will want to sand it with 180 grit , clean, spray adhesion promoter, then epoxy high build primer. Then sand the epoxy primer with 320, seal, then paint.
Yes - our paints work great on calipers, engine blocks, and valve covers!

A little disappointed

The color is beautiful but no where near as much blue compared to the pics on your website. Sprayed over a black base it came out exclusively green to purple shift. I was hoping for primarily a blue to purple shift with hints of green on certain angles,....like your pic on the website. Like I said, it is quality paint and its beautiful, but its not what was advertised.

With all paints, especially color shifts and candies, lighting plays a HUGE roll. Our samples are sprayed in house and photographed under florescent lighting. Also the amount of coats, the level of gloss, and obviously the device you are viewing it on will all change the look of these types of colors. I'm really sorry you didnt get exactly what you were expecting, but i assure you n the right lighting youll see all the colors.
