Automotive Body Work Supplies — Prep Right, Paint Right

Great paint starts with great prep. The Spray Source carries everything you need to repair dents, fill imperfections, and build a smooth foundation before primer and paint. From polyester fillers to mixing supplies, this collection has your body work covered.

Body Fillers

TrueFill Premium Body Filler — Lightweight polyester filler with excellent filling properties and a smooth, easy-to-sand finish. Apply in thin layers up to 3mm total thickness. Cures in 30–35 minutes at 68°F. For best results, apply over Alpha AP-5511 Epoxy Primer.

U-Pol Dolphin Finishing Glaze — Fine finishing putty for skim-coating minor imperfections after initial filler work. Spreads thin, sands smooth, and bridges the gap between body filler and primer.

Spray Glaze

Alpha Spray Glaze — Sprayable polyester putty for smoothing large surfaces evenly. Mix at 100% glaze + 4.5% hardener, spray with a 1.8–2.5mm nozzle, and sand with P180–P360 grit after curing. Perfect for achieving panel-flat surfaces before sealer.

Sanding & Blocking

Block sanding is critical for a flat finish. Use Linear Blocking Tools — rigid boards for flat panels, semi-flex for slight contours, and ultra-flex for complex curves. Start coarse (P80–P120) for shaping, finish at P280–P360 before primer. Use a cross-hatch sanding pattern for even material removal.

The Right Order

Strip or sand → body filler → block sand → spray glaze (if needed) → block sand again → epoxy primer → sealer → basecoat → clearcoat. Every step matters. For a full walkthrough, see our How-To & Techniques blog.
