Description

Scorched Apple Basecoat

is an epic Alpha Custom Color with the best aspects of the 3 best paint types.. Candy, colorshift, and custom colors!

This color changing paint has majority a Apple Red candy effect with a subtle Colorshift of candy apple red/ red wine / rootbeer /bronze/maroon / gold tones. This color is best over a black sealer as shown on the speedshape & mustang in the photos.

This is easier to spray than other candy pearls because it has a lot of toner and pigment in it as well - but i would still suggest spraying the vehicle together on the exterior to make sure 100% even matching.

All of our Alpha Custom Color Basecoats are bound in a specifically formulated binder that has pigment control (to avoid striping or mottling), great UV Resistance, crystal clear, and great pearl suspension.

This color is also available in aerosol spray cans, vehicle paint kits, painted samples, and more!

We cannot ship hazardous materials via air, so when it comes to paint, body filler, or other hazmat items we cannot ship it internationally or to places that require air shipping (Alazka, Hawaii, etc) .

-Multiple shipping options on non hazardous materials ( UPS, USPS, Overnight etc)

-Qualifying international orders are shipped via UPS or DHL. Most countries there are 3 day options.

-During sales or other high volume days, expect 2-5 days to process the order.

Product FAQ's
How can I add a Pearl effect of another color while not changing the end result color much?
We would recommend you either adding Diamond pearls into the base coat or ideally spray our Diamond pearl midcoats over top. Over top will give you the most effect while also not changing the color as much as mixing it. Also mixing it in you will need quite a bit of pearl to be able to see it.
Is this ready to spray out of an airbrush or would it have to be thinned?
Flows out of a .5 or larger. Any smaller it MIGHT have to be further reduced
Is this paint a true Tri-Stage?
No, Scorched apple is much more like a traditional base coat but it is also to be sprayed over a black sealer. It has about 5x more pigment than any other candy Pearl on the market it still gives a candy like finish without being a difficult to spray color at all!

It was a great color it was just darker than what I was looking for. In your on line photos it looked a little more red with some more sparkle to it. Don’t get me wrong it is a great color and I wil keep this sample for a future project but for the project I am on now this color isn’t the right one for the customer.
