Leo-Nardo Gray Drop-In Pigment on a Chevrolet Silverado
Some truck builds demand attention through bold styling rather than flashy effects. This Chevrolet Silverado delivers exactly that presence by using Leo-Nardo Gray Drop-In Pigment. Applied by Get Dipped Services, the finish strikes a perfect balance between aggression and refinement, making the truck look powerful without appearing overdone.
The Silverado already carries a commanding stance, strong body lines, and a rugged profile. Adding Leo-Nardo Gray enhances those traits by giving the surface a smooth, sophisticated gray tone that feels modern and purposeful. Under bright sunlight, the color reveals depth and richness. In shaded or low-light conditions, the finish takes on a darker, more aggressive character.
This project shows how the right gray can elevate a truck from tough to premium without sacrificing attitude.
Why Leo-Nardo Gray Works So Well on the Silverado
Leo-Nardo Gray is designed for builders who want a bold yet versatile color. The tone sits in the perfect middle ground, avoiding overly light silver hues while steering clear of flat charcoal finishes. On a full-size truck like the Silverado, this balance is critical.
The pigment reflects light evenly across large panels, which helps highlight the truck’s sharp edges and muscular curves. Fender flares, hood contours, and door lines all become more pronounced. As the truck moves, reflections glide smoothly across the surface, giving the finish a high-end appearance.
Another strength of Leo-Nardo Gray is consistency. Coverage remains uniform across wide panels, tight areas, and complex shapes. That reliability makes it an excellent choice for trucks, motorcycles, and other large-scale projects where color variation would be noticeable.

Pigment Used for This Silverado Build
This project features Leo-Nardo Gray from the Alpha Tints lineup. These liquid pigments are engineered for consistent dispersion, excellent coverage, and dependable color output.
Leo-Nardo Gray sprays smoothly and mixes easily into compatible systems. The result is a uniform gray finish that looks refined from every angle. The pigment’s versatility allows it to adapt to different lighting conditions while maintaining its bold character.
Wide Application Compatibility
Like all Alpha Tints liquid pigments, Leo-Nardo Gray is highly versatile. It can be used with Autoflex Coatings and other traditional automotive paint systems. Compatibility also extends to epoxy resin, Plastisol, Performix Plasti Dip, Halo efx, DYC Proline, bed liners, and many other applications.
Testing prior to full application is always recommended to ensure optimal results.
Supporting Products Used
This Silverado was completed using an Alpha Custom Color basecoat formulated for precise pigment control, UV resistance, and excellent suspension. The basecoat was mixed 1:1 with an AR-30xx reducer to achieve smooth spraying and consistent coverage. AP-7541 DTM Primer-Sealer was applied to provide strong adhesion, flexibility, and fast drying. To finish the system, AC-4521 HS Glamour Clearcoat was used to deliver long-lasting gloss, UV protection, and durability.
