You will need to get high build primer in addition to this kit if you are refinishing \/ smoothing out curb rash. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is only to be used over powder coat, paint, or aluminum frames. NOT CHROME. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*Spraying over chrome can cause poor adhesion. Some customers have good luck with sand blasting the chrome then using adhesion promoter, but do this at your our risk*\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSteps to using the kit: \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTake off all parts you don't want to mask or paint (usually best to strip completely to frame only)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eWash your motorcycle very well to get the brake dust off. We recommend using iron x soap + a scrubber mitt\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDry your motorcycle \u0026amp; then wipe down with the included wax \u0026amp; grease remover (avoid getting on the tires to avoid drying the rubber out)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eScuff the entire surface you are planning to paint with the included scuff pad \u0026amp; paste until the entire finish is flat \u0026amp; \"scratched up\".\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRinse with warm water and dry the frame with a clean rag \u0026amp; compressed air.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMask any parts you don't want to get paint on (especially important with bushings, gaskets, etc) and any other areas you don't want to get overspray on. Make sure no masking is touching the surface of the frame to avoid bridging.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eWipe the entire surface with a clean microfiber \u0026amp; the included wax \u0026amp; grease remover\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShake the primer cans according to the label. Then spray 1 light coat on the entire surface of the frame wait 5 mins, then spray 1 medium wet coat on the surface.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eWait 1hr after the frame 100% dry to the touch\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShake basecoat cans according to the label.
